Dear members,
The executive committee, are happy to share some exciting updates regarding the club development plans.
The 2017 Sports Capital Grant, of €79,000 which was provisionally allocated to the club is now in the process of moving towards formal approval. This financing will allow work to begin on the ground floor toilets, dressing rooms, showers and flooring etc.
The executive is in the process of seeking tenders for this work from local builders & suppliers, which is required as part of the formal approval process.
Another mandatory step to drawing down this grant aid, is updating our trustees given the death of Sean Kierse (RIP) and retirement of Pat Fitzgerald, from the Clare county board.
The executive will recommend the club transitions to the Corporate Trustee model as created by Croke Park in 2016 and recommended by them & the Munster Council.
A Special General Meeting (SGM) of the club will be called in the coming days, as a vote of full members would be required in order to make this transition. This will be discussed in full at the SGM.
Your attendance and interest in this project would be appreciated.
