Dear Members,

Smith O'Brien's GAA & Camogie Club is encouraging all parents, guardians and young members to take advantage of the Dillon Quirke Foundation Cardiac Screening Programme, which will take place on Monday, 27th July 2026.

The eligible age range has now been extended to include all 12–19 year olds (male and female).

This is an incredibly important and potentially life-saving service. Cardiac screening can detect underlying heart conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed, helping to prevent sudden cardiac events. The screening is quick, non-invasive and could make a life-changing difference for a young person and their family.

This is a one-off opportunity to have this screening available locally, and we strongly encourage every eligible family to consider booking an appointment. Even if your child appears fit, healthy and active, screening can provide invaluable peace of mind and, in some cases, save a life through early detection.
