Dear Members,
As you are all well aware there was a ticketing issue with the Ticketmaster system earlier in the week which lead to the complete suspension of ticket sales.
Codes were allowing people to purchase more than the actual allocated ticket amount which meant the other code owner (another Smith O'Briens club member) was not able to purchase and would miss out on attending the game.
The Clare County Board officers, Ticketmaster and Club officials have been working on resolving this issue by generating purchase reports and code reallocations ever since.
Important points to note;
- Terrace tickets (Hill 16 & Nally) - these codes were left active and all club members should have purchased their terrace tickets using the code and link they received late last week.
- Stand tickets - Smith O'Briens originally received 128 stand tickets (44 Hogan, 52 Cusack (typo in first email) & 32 Davin).
- The purchase report received from the county board shows of the 128 tickets 89 were purchased, leaving 39 tickets still to be purchased.
- The county board was not able to resend like for like codes, so you may now have a code for a different stand. Unfortunately there is nothing club officers can do about this.
- We do not have full visibility in the purchase report of every member who purchased against an allocated code. However, we do have visibility into who else was assigned any original shared code.
If you originally received a code, did not purchase your ticket, and do not receive an email with an updated code and link by 9pm tonight;
please email chairperson.smithobriens.clare@gaa.ie with your name, code & section.
We will try to track down your ticket via the other members who got that same code.
